App visual identity with The Bodleian Libraries

The Bodleian Libraries commissioned us to create an app icon and chapter headings for their first ever app “Bod”.

Project background

The “Bod” app was themed around the King James Bible, as it was the first time this rare piece of literature was available to the public. We helped launch Bod onto the Apple and Android app stores.

The idea

The app reveals previously unseen precious and historic pieces of literature. To communicate this, a flexible page turning effect is used to unify the app – from the app icon, to the top chapter headings.

“We needed a visual identity for a new series of mobile apps for Apple and Android devices, including an icon, a launch screen, and banner images inside the app. Paul provided a tremendous selection of designs and was a pleasure to work with. We were absolutely delighted with the chosen identity.”
