Archived design work from The Partners

Working with top London branding and design agency The Partners for four years with some of the brightest minds in the industry was a dream come true. Here are a few archived projects from that time.

Invitation to Wine Secrets book launch

Project background

Announce a new book on the secrets of wine. Generate interest amongst wine critics and book retailers.

The idea

Tell them in a secretive way. Send everyone a bottle of wine that reveals a hidden message on the reverse of the label.

Deloitte DeepDive™ visual identity

Project background

Create a visual identity for Deloitte DeepDive™ – a training programme that combines brainstorming, prototyping and feedback loops merged into an approach that executives can use with teams to help develop solutions for specific business challenges.

Project scope

Logotype
Visual identity concepts and development
Look and feel
Image capturing, sourcing and retouching

Microsite design
Design facilitator guide for print
Workshop giveaways

The idea

Participating in a DeepDive™ workshop is an intense and immersive experience. The idea of being deeply ‘immersed’ in the workshop was communicated metaphorically by taking everyday objects related to workshops and delightfully showing them unexpectedly immersed.

Shoal

To convey the sense of collaboration that is so intrinsic to the DeepDive™ experience, a shoal of highlighters was used as the primary image on all DeepDive™ communications.

Applications

A range of DeepDive™ applications were created that adhered to the Deloitte brand guidelines, including a microsite, printed brochures and a facilitator’s guide. Giveaways at the DeepDive™ workshops themselves were diving themed; with pads of paper, pencils and water bottles playfully featuring a graphical depth gauge.

ARM advertising campaign

Project background

Create an advertising campaign for ARM, a leading Nigerian bank uniquely providing investment products that benefit from excellent returns, and offering quality financial advice through their specialist Investment Centres.

Project scope

Advertising campaign concepts
Copywriting
Illustrations

Billboard designs
Press advertising designs
Artwork for production

The idea

The idea was to link the personal ambitions of ARM’s investors and potential investors with the bigger ambition to turn Nigeria as a whole into the economic powerhouse of Africa.

The collective willpower, energy, talent and wise investment of hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of Nigerians, channelled into ARM investments, could make a significant contribution to a rapidly expanding economy.

Building on the self-interest, hopes and dreams of Nigerians, the spirit of the campaign could be summarised as “GO RAISE AMBITION! GO INVEST ARM! GO NIGERIA!”

A series of rallying calls to action were created, all centred around the verb “GO”, to encourage Nigerians to get up and claim their democratic right to good financial advice from the new ARM Investment Centers – an attractive and trustworthy ‘third place’ that can act as a one-stop shop for Mutual Funds, Stocks & Shares, Pensions and Real Estate.

Visually, the campaign took an illustrated typographic approach inspired by Nigerian street art and murals, with bursts of patriotic colour.

The campaign ran in multiple media, including billboards, press ads and radio advertising.

Wheely Cool logo

Project background

Create a logo for an online retailer of ride-along toys for kids.

The idea

The unifying feature of all of Wheely Cool’s products is the steering wheel – the object the kids interact with the most. Turned on its head, the steering wheel suddenly shows the emotional response kids have to Wheely Cool’s awesome products.
